OTB SITES
Gil Short has designed six state-of-the-art Off Track Betting
Facilities and two Simulcast Centers. The interiors feature his
signature curved panoramic television walls. This elegant and
contemporary design results in the best possible viewing for both
horseracing and other sporting events. All facilities are equipped
with the latest audio and video technology. Patrons are treated to
diverse types of comfortable seating and custom crafted bars.
Patrons and owners have commended Shorts outstanding ability to
create pleasurable, comfortable, and user-friendly facilities.
TRAINING TRACKS
Gil Short owned, designed and managed daily operations of this
nationally recognized training facility Spring Garden Ranch, located
in DeLeon Springs, Florida. The training center was designed with a
one-mile dirt track with a 454 radius in addition to a half-mile
all weather track. The facility also includes notable amenities such
as an Olympic size swimming pool, racquetball, basketball, tennis
court, and a forty-unit mobile home/recreational vehicle area. Short
attended to every detail of the design and construction. His
expertise of horseracing is evident in all aspects of the facility.

WATER TRUCKS
The trucks are custom crafted to meet the required needs. The
vehicles are equipped with Mac or Volvo chassis, spray heads, street
flushers, fire protection equipment, and PTO pumps or pony engines.
The vehicles also come equipped with pneumatic remote-operated boom
systems.

PORTABLE STALLS
Gil Short and Associates also designed a portable stall system,
effectively used at the Indiana Downs multi-use ship-in facility.
The dimensions of the units are 12 by 12 and 710 high, with
impact resistant white partitions and a dipped galvanized frame. The
stalls are freestanding with no support posts, equipped with a
familiar stall door in front. These are just several of the

CAMERA TOWERS
